Best of Think Deep Recordings

Sydney based music lover, producer, DJ and label manager Andy Sim comes from a varied musical background. With formal training in the piano, drums, violin, and more recently jazz guitar, his diverse musical skills and experiences fuel a passion for deep, intricate melodies & harmonies. As a producer he has drawn on these complex influences to notch up multiple releases on labels including Chronic, Fokuz, Nexgen, Phuzion and Jazzsticks. His full debut album was released on Think Deep Recordings in 2015 to critical acclaim. As a DJ, his show 'Sydney Soul Radio' entertained thousands of bassdrive.com listeners every week for seven years until it concluded in 2016 . As label manager, he has developed Think Deep Recordings into a highly respected liquid drum & bass label with a reputation for releasing quality jazzy, soul infused tracks.

Deep into the world of Drum and Bass for over 15 years when Untah Selecta began collecting vinyl, he made the transition to DJ in 2006 and stepped up to the turntables to share his vision at local dnb parties. Alongside Kicbea, he began playing radio shows on Nu Perception and DnB Heaven radio. Untah Selecta has played gigs all over Serbia, Hungary and Macedonia with his euphoric/liquid, positive vibed track selection. But in 2008, he hit the studio to begin producing his own tracks, establishing the name "EUPHORICS" - Untah Selecta`s production project. In 2010 Euphorics released his first 12'' and in early in 2013 he released the "Moonshine" EP for the well known Liquid Brilliants label. In August 2013, his track, "That Stuff" reached 2nd place in the best Serbian singles on the national radio station! With further releases such as “Lazy Breeze“ on Blu Saphir, and his debut album “Midnight Mist“ on Think Deep, he will also be releasing the track “To You” on Good Looking Records representing a huge leap in his production career. EUPHORICS tracks was played so far by LTJ Bukem, DJ Grooverider, Crissy Criss BBC Radio 1Xtra, Bryan Gee, Furney, A Sides, Stunna, Bassdrive.com , Bassjunkees, Everyday Junglist, New Perception radio, Jungletrain, DnB Heaven...

From piano lessons at age 9, to teaching himself the drums, the guitar, digital music production, and finally to DJ, Spective's passion for music has always been a driving force in his life. Throughout his school and university years, he found himself drumming in numerous Metal, Punk and Ska bands, recording his own instrumental material, and in early 2010 ventured into Liquid Drum & Bass. He hasn’t looked back since! His debut EP dropped on Stepping Forward Records, with subsequent releases on Liquid Drumz, Liquid Tones and Soul Deep Recordings. He’s also received support from legends Total Science. With a penchant for moody jazz and soulful melodies, Spective continues to bring the funk for dancers and easy listeners alike. Keep your eyes and ears peeled; this upcoming artist is only getting started!
